The Great Plains Transportation Museum  will be hosting the second annual Kansas Railfest September 16, 2017

Kansas Railfest will feature music, shopping, food, vintage vehicles, activities for young and old, and of course - TRAINS!


The event will take place at the combined sites of the Great Plains Transportation Museum and Union Station. Each side of the 700 block of East Douglas in DOWNTOWN WICHITA.


Admission is only $10.00 for age 13 and over. Kids 12 and under are free!

PRIZES, ACTIVITIES, AND GIVAWAYS  - Enter to win prizes such as collectable model trains, train toys and railroad décor and memorablilia.

KANSAS RAILFEST

A real, operating steam locomotive!
​Lehigh Valley Coal Company #126, nicknamed "Sadie," will be on site and operating for Railfest. You can also take a short ride through the Railfest grounds. This a rare opportunity to see AND RIDE an authentic coal fired steam locomotive!


Note - Due to the costs associated with bringing in the locomotive and its operation, there will be a separate charge to ride the steam locomotive.


Ride tickets are :

$10 for ages 13 and up

$5 for ages 3-12

2 and under are free when not occupying a seat.​
