The Great Plains Transportation Museum, in conjunction with Occidental Management, presents the first annual Kansas Railfest.

Kansas Railfest will feature music, artists, shopping, food, activities for young and old, and of course - TRAINS!

There will be toy trains, garden trains, full-sized trains, a historic miniature live steam locomotive, a railroad scavenger hunt for prizes, trolley rides, and more!

Visitors can also see the inside of Union Station. This is the first chance for the general public to see inside Historic Union Station since 1979!

The event will take place at the combined sites of the Great Plains Transportation Museum and Union Station. Each side of the 700 block of East Douglas in DOWNTOWN WICHITA.

Admission is only $8.00 for 12 and over. Under 12 free. Kids must be accompanied by an adult. Cash payments accepted at the gate, or tickets may be purchased in advance at Dillons stores in Wichita, Derby, Mulvane, Andover, Augusta and El Dorado.

Event proceeds will go toward helping the museum's mission - to preserve and convey the unique history of railroading in the Great Plains through acquisition, restoration, research, exhibition, and education.
